Smooth skin. Long-lasting hair reduction. Over 20 years of experience.
Tired of shaving, waxing, and dealing with unwanted hair?
At Kingwood Skin Essentials, we’ve been helping patients achieve smoother skin with professional laser hair removal for over 20 years.
With three advanced laser hair removal technologies, experienced providers, and personalized treatment plans, we’re able to offer options for a wide range of skin tones and hair types.
Whether you’re treating your upper lip, underarms, bikini area, legs, or larger areas of the body, our goal is to make laser hair removal comfortable, effective, and convenient.
Not all hair removal lasers are the same, and not every patient’s hair responds the same way.
At Kingwood Skin Essentials, we understand that successful laser hair removal involves selecting the right technology, following the appropriate treatment schedule, and creating a personalized plan.
With over 20 years of experience serving the Kingwood community, our team has helped patients achieve successful long-term hair reduction.
What sets us apart:
We believe in treating each patient individually rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
At Kingwood Skin Essentials, we offer three different technologies so our providers can select the most appropriate option for your skin and hair characteristics
Cutera Xeo – 1064 nm Nd:YAG Laser
Our Cutera Xeo platform features a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser, a well-established technology for long-term hair reduction.
This wavelength is particularly valuable for treating deeper skin tones when used with appropriate settings and protocols. It can also effectively target coarse, pigmented hair.
LightSheer Diode Laser
LightSheer uses diode laser technology to target pigment within the hair follicle and reduce unwanted hair growth.
It is an effective option for many patients with pigmented hair and can be used on both smaller and larger treatment areas.
Candela elōs Motif – Optical Energy + Radiofrequency
Our elōs Motif technology combines optical energy with radiofrequency (RF), providing an additional approach to unwanted hair reduction.
This technology can be particularly helpful for certain patients with finer, thinner pigmented hair that may not respond as well to conventional laser treatments.
In our experience, some patients with lighter or more challenging hair types have noticed slower regrowth and fewer visible hairs following treatments.
However, results vary, especially with hair that contains little or no pigment. White, gray, and very light blonde hair are more challenging to treat, and permanent hair reduction cannot be guaranteed.
Laser Hair Removal for All Skin Types
Our combination of technologies allows us to offer treatment options across all Fitzpatrick skin types.
Not every laser or setting is appropriate for every patient. Our providers carefully evaluate skin tone, hair characteristics, and individual risk factors before selecting the most suitable technology.
Laser hair removal offers several benefits for patients looking for a long-term solution to unwanted hair.
Laser hair removal provides long-term hair reduction rather than guaranteed permanent removal of every hair.
At Kingwood Skin Essentials, we offer laser hair removal for areas ranging from extra small to extra large.
Popular treatment areas include:
Treatment eligibility and pricing depend on the area being treated and your individual needs.
At Kingwood Skin Essentials, we typically recommend six or more treatments to achieve optimal hair reduction.
Hair grows in different cycles, and not every hair follicle is actively growing at the same time.
Because laser hair removal is most effective when hair is in its active growth phase, multiple treatments are necessary to target different follicles throughout their growth cycles.
Treatments are generally spaced 4 to 10 weeks apart, depending on the body area, hair growth pattern, and individual response.
Our providers will recommend the appropriate timeline and laser technology for your treatment plan.
Consistency matters! We strongly encourage patients to follow their provider’s recommended schedule to maximize their results.
We offer flexible options to help patients achieve their hair removal goals while enjoying savings on their treatment series.
Individual treatments are available for patients who prefer to pay per visit.
Pricing varies based on the size of the treatment area, from extra small to extra large.
Purchase three laser hair removal treatments and receive 10% off regular single-treatment pricing.
This is a great option for patients who prefer a smaller package.
Our best-value laser hair removal package!
Purchase five treatments for the same area and receive your sixth treatment FREE.
Because we typically recommend six or more treatments, this package is an excellent way to commit to your recommended series while saving approximately 16.7% compared with purchasing six individual treatments.
Once you have completed six laser hair removal treatments in the same specific treatment area at Kingwood Skin Essentials, you qualify for our maintenance pricing for that area.
Maintenance treatments are priced according to the amount of treatment time needed, starting at $75.
For example, six underarm treatments performed at our office qualify you for maintenance pricing on your underarms. Treatments on other body areas do not count toward that area’s six-treatment requirement.
Our maintenance options make it easier to address occasional regrowth and maintain your long-term results.
Your appointment begins with an evaluation of your skin tone, hair color, hair thickness, and treatment goals.
Our provider will select the appropriate technology and settings based on your individual needs.
During treatment, you’ll wear protective eyewear while controlled pulses of energy are delivered across the treatment area.
Most patients describe the sensation as a quick snap or warming feeling against the skin.
We also offer FrostLite cooling technology, which delivers chilled air to the treatment area to help minimize discomfort.
Treatment time depends on the size of the area. Smaller areas may take only a few minutes, while larger areas require additional time.
Mild redness, warmth, or swelling around the hair follicles may occur afterward and typically resolves within a few hours to a couple of days.
Most patients can return to normal daily activities shortly after treatment.
Following the proper preparation guidelines helps make your treatment safer, more comfortable, and more effective.
Shave 24 hours before your appointment.
We recommend shaving the entire treatment area approximately 24 hours beforehand. This allows the skin time to settle and helps minimize irritation from shaving immediately before treatment.
Shaving also reduces the amount of hair above the skin’s surface, allowing laser energy to target pigmented hair within the follicle more efficiently.
The entire treatment area must be shaved. Because individual hairs grow in different cycles, we treat the designated area even when visible hair growth is minimal.
If our team needs to shave the area for you, an additional shaving charge will apply.
Waxing, plucking, or tweezing
If you wax, pluck, or tweeze, wait at least three weeks before your laser hair removal appointment. Your provider may recommend a longer interval depending on hair regrowth.
We encourage shaving between treatments instead, since waxing and tweezing remove the hair from the root and can interfere with treatment effectiveness.
Self-tanner, bronzer, and spray tans
Wait a minimum of 7–10 days after using self-tanner, bronzer, or spray tan, and make sure all artificial color has completely faded before your appointment.
If any artificial tanning pigment remains visible, treatment must be postponed.
Artificial pigment on the skin can absorb laser energy and increase the risk of burns or unwanted pigmentation changes.
Arrive with clean skin
The area being treated should be completely clean and free of makeup, lotions, oils, deodorant, bronzer, and self-tanning products.
Avoid excessive sun exposure
Avoid tanning beds, sunburn, and excessive sun exposure before treatment. Inform your provider of any recent tanning or changes in skin color.
We typically recommend six or more treatments for optimal hair reduction. Some patients may require additional sessions depending on their hair type, treatment area, and hormonal influences.
Treatments are generally spaced 4 to 10 weeks apart, depending on the body area and your individual hair growth cycle.
Your provider will recommend the most appropriate schedule.
Most patients tolerate laser hair removal very well without numbing cream.
Today’s advanced laser technologies and cooling options help make treatments more comfortable.
At Kingwood Skin Essentials, we offer FrostLite cooling technology, which delivers chilled air to the skin during treatment to help minimize discomfort.
For patients who are especially sensitive, we can discuss prescription numbing cream that may be called into a pharmacy for use before their appointment.
Our team will provide specific instructions for safe application if numbing cream is appropriate.
Yes! Shaving the entire treatment area approximately 24 hours before your appointment is required.
Shaving helps reduce surface hair that could absorb laser energy and allows the skin time to recover from any shaving-related irritation.
Because hair grows in different cycles, our providers treat the entire designated area, even if some hairs are not visibly growing.
If shaving must be performed by our team, an additional charge will apply.
Yes, but timing is important!
If you wax, pluck, or tweeze, we recommend waiting at least three weeks before your next laser hair removal treatment.
These methods remove hair from the root, which can interfere with how effectively laser energy targets the follicle.
For the best results, we recommend shaving between appointments instead.
Yes, but you must wait a minimum of 7–10 days after applying these products and until all artificial color has completely disappeared from the treatment area.
If bronzer or self-tanner remains visible, we cannot proceed with treatment.
Artificial pigment may absorb laser energy and increase the risk of burns or pigmentation changes.
Please arrive with completely clean skin.
Hair follicles grow in different cycles, and not every hair is visible at the same time.
By treating the entire designated area throughout your recommended series, we can provide consistent coverage as different hairs enter their active growth phase.
We offer three advanced technologies:
Our providers select the most appropriate technology based on your skin tone, hair color, thickness, and treatment area.
Certain finer or thinner pigmented hairs may respond to laser hair removal.
Our Candela elōs Motif system combines optical energy and radiofrequency, providing another option for some challenging hair types.
Results vary, and very light or nonpigmented hair may not respond reliably.
White, gray, and very light blonde hair are more difficult to treat because they contain little or no pigment.
Although some patients may notice changes in hair growth with certain technologies, reliable permanent reduction cannot be guaranteed.
We recommend a consultation to discuss realistic expectations.
Yes! We offer technologies that allow us to treat patients across all Fitzpatrick skin types.
Our 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser is particularly valuable for deeper skin tones, and our team carefully selects the appropriate device and settings for each patient.
Yes! By reducing hair growth, laser hair removal can help decrease shaving-related irritation, razor bumps, and ingrown hairs.
Laser hair removal provides long-term hair reduction.
Many patients experience significantly less hair growth after completing their recommended series. Some regrowth can occur over time, especially with hormonal changes.
Additional maintenance treatments may help manage regrowth.
You qualify for maintenance pricing once you have completed six laser hair removal treatments in the same specific area at Kingwood Skin Essentials.
Maintenance pricing is based on treatment time and starts at $75.
Each treatment area must independently meet the six-treatment requirement.
We offer individual treatments, packages of three with 10% savings, and our VIP package where you buy five treatments and receive your sixth treatment free.
We generally recommend the VIP package for patients beginning their full treatment series because it provides the greatest savings.
Pricing depends on the size of the treatment area and whether you choose individual treatments or a package.
At Kingwood Skin Essentials, we offer extra-small through extra-large treatment areas, discounted packages, and qualifying maintenance treatments starting at $75.

Most patients experience minimal downtime.
Temporary redness, mild swelling, or sensitivity may occur after treatment and usually resolves within a few hours to a couple of days.
Your provider will review aftercare instructions, including avoiding excessive heat, tanning, and sun exposure. Burns, blisters, and pigment changes are less common but possible risks.
With over 20 years of experience in the Kingwood community, we combine extensive hands-on experience with multiple advanced laser technologies.
Our team focuses on personalized treatment plans, appropriate treatment intervals, patient comfort, and long-term results.
We also offer flexible packages and maintenance pricing to help patients continue caring for their results.
Ready to enjoy smoother skin with less shaving and waxing?
At Kingwood Skin Essentials, we combine over 20 years of experience, three advanced laser hair removal technologies, and personalized treatment plans to help you achieve long-lasting hair reduction.
Whether you’re treating a small facial area or a larger body area, our team will help you select the right technology and treatment schedule for your needs.
Individual results vary. Laser hair removal provides long-term hair reduction rather than guaranteed permanent removal of every hair. Treatment eligibility, number of sessions, and maintenance needs vary by individual.
